Gareth Edwards reached out around 2018 looking for some art to accompany the pitch for a new film. At the time there was just an outline, an unfinished script, and a bunch of reference images.

A lot of details hadn't been nailed down, so the goal was mostly to evoke the tone of the setting and give a peak into the world. The film grew and evolved tremendously from here, but it was an awesome experience getting to contribute some seeds to the project.
